Position Description: Program Manager Purpose: Responsible for coordinating and directing the overall product development activities for complex programs. Ensure that all customer and company product objectives are achieved through the product life cycle.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Initiate, plan, implement and close programs to deliver program scope within established targets for budget, quality, timing to market and product performance. Lead the cross functional team through the company's phased APQP gate review process. Control, track and report program status relative to the timing plan, project financials and APQP phase review tasks.

Develop project timing plan and maintain updates to the plan throughout the product life cycle. Develop and implement recovery plans for off-schedule instances. Lead the cross functional team meetings; facilitate communication and interaction amongst the functional representatives.

Be a primary point of contact for customer communication. Prepare project progress report, presentations and status update via program dashboards, management reviews and team meetings. Evaluate risk, develop risk mitigation plans and reduce risk in timely manner, including escalation to senior management as required.

Identify risks and opportunities. Develop risk mitigation plans and action plans to realize opportunities. Provide inputs to the Sales team for new business quotes.

Inputs such as providing start-up launch budget and comparative capital/tooling costs from launched programs. Other duties as required Qualifications: Education/Knowledge Bachelor's Degree (Business or Engineering preferred) Experience 4-6 years of automotive program management or product development experience Familiar with common continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, Lean Principles, Value Stream Mapping Familiar with common problem-solving tools such as; Fishbone Diagrams, Ishikawa Diagrams, 8D, Is/Is Not, 5 Why Specific for Position Attention to detail and accuracy Excellent oral and written communication skills Organizational and analytical skills Capable of mentoring less experienced team members Proficient with Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, PowerPoint Highly proficient with Microsoft Project software Trained in APQP, PPAP, Problem Solving, Quality System, Leadership Core Competencies: Leadership Priority Setting Ethics and Values Problem Solving Action Oriented Timely Decision Making Drive for Results.
