The Department of Family & Community Medicine of the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University is currently accepting candidates for the position of geriatrician faculty and Associate Fellowship Director. This geriatrician faculty member will have a variety of exciting opportunities in clinical care and education. This position will work in clinical care sites including a vibrant 5-star Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in suburban Philadelphia with a team of geriatricians in a collegial environment., as well as hospital consults in Center City/South Philadelphia. The faculty member will serve as Associate Fellowship Director for the well-respected Geriatric Fellowship Program. This is a unique opportunity to join a supportive work environment in the nationally-recognized Division of Geriatric Medicine.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Education and mentoring of geriatric fellows
  • Support geriatric fellowship director in assigned responsibilities
  • Clinical attending at a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in Lafayette Hill, PA. Opportunity to care for patients in outpatient office, assisted living, post-acute, and long-term care.
  • Consult service attending
  • At-home telephone call part of the Geriatrics Division pool of providers for approximately 2 weeks per year from home only.
  • Work as part of interprofessional team (including MA, behavioral health, social workers, population health specialists) that provides patient-centered care.

Requirements: Qualified applicants will hold a MD or DO degree and be board certified, or eligible, in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. Must be board certified or eligible in Geriatrics. Must have or obtain a PA medical license. Academic appointment and salary will be commensurate with experience. Jefferson offers competitive salaries and comprehensive benefit package.
