The Jefferson Digestive Health Institute offers a full range of clinical services in gastroenterology and hepatology, including diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, motility, and liver transplantation. Numerous Centers including celiac, inflammatory bowel disease, complicated polyps, fatty liver, viral hepatitis, liver tumors and more. Honickman needs to be included where outpt care will occur, and outpatient endoscopy. A separate unit dedicated to advanced endoscopy, located within the hospital complex, will soon complete renovations. (The ambulatory care facilities at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital consist of a newly renovated suite that comprises the outpatient, administrative, and secretarial offices for the academic Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology.) The institute is equipped with the latest diagnostic and therapeutic technologies for the management of everything from complex motility disorders and pancreatico-biliary diseases, to small intestinal conditions requiring deep, device-assisted enteroscopy and advanced endoscopic surgical techniques like POEM, ESD

The department of Medicine and the division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at Sidney Kimmel Medical College is seeking a highly skilled and talented leader to be the Medical Director of our Barretts program. Responsibilities for the position include but are not limited to .

Following a large cohort of patients in various phases of Barretts management

Skill with all advanced endoscopic imaging modalities

Skill with diagnostic and therapeutic technologies including RFA, APC, EMR, and cryotherapy desired

Strong interest in Barrett esophagus related clinical research and innovation

Passion for teaching and very strong interpersonal skills

The ideal candidate will provide the highest quality clinical care, provide strong leadership to the Barretts program, be intensely interested in education, and pursue academic research. The selected candidate must be mission-driven, able to work cooperatively and collegially within a multidisciplinary, diverse environment.
